Last night was possibly one of the best nights I've had all year! First, the music was unbelievable! IDC really knew how to rock the crowd and played a very tight set which saw mass singing-along, hands-pumping-the-air and general joy/hysteria on the dancefloor of Velvet! Second, the company was just stellar; my boys Ming and Yen kept it real and jolly and ensured that none went thirsty ; )
Friends I hadn't hung out with in ages (Fiona and Max, love these 2!) were there and a friend I would drop everything for at the drop of a hat, spent ages with me, hanging out, the 2 of us enjoying each other's company. I was sad to see her leave the club, sad that the night had to end (all good nights have to come to an end though this was a night I wish had never ended) but on the plus side, i woke up with a big grin on my face, in spite of the hangover that came as part of the whole Saturday night package! What bliss is good friendship. MON!!

Why is it that as soon as I start to get better, I start thinking of partying again? I can't explain it, it's almost like I was born to party, to jump around like a monkey and bounce off the walls like it's the most important thing ever. Oh wait, it is, isn't it? ; )
Yes, I am most definitely feeling better. The tummy is back to normal and I can eat whatever I want again! yesyesyes!
I even went to the gym today as well as went for a wee jog before that. Yes, I am definitely on my way back to being fit again. Now, I just have to stay away from dodgy hotdogs and negative people and I'll be fine. And I have to stay away from the clubs this weekend *fingers crossed* We shall see if I can resist the lure of the bassline ; )) Peas Oot.

So, the Red party was a great success. I saw so very many people from my past (some I was happy to see and some not so) and ended up helping out during the event proper which turned out to be good cos I had loads of fun while I was at it. After the event, I ended up at Zouk where the Pneumatic Drill DnB of Amit almost made me physically ill (watching the handful of couples going at it in Phuture in their state of being royally-off-their-rockers contributed too!). Thank goodness then that the music at Zouk was quite phenomenal! I tried looking for loads of folk there and failed so many times, what with my trying not to lose the people I was with in the first place! As an aside, let me just say how happy I am that a certain wee woman and her friends are back in my life! The period of no-contact was incredibly hard to take and in this case, absence has definitely made the heart grow fonder. Hooray for friendship!!

Anyhow, to fast forward, I'm suffering from quite a bad bout of food poisoning. My poor tummy feels like it's been beaten with a big stick! I'm fairly certain that it's because of that dodgy hotdog I ate at the Fireworks Fest last Friday : ( I can't wait to get better.

So, it was Sanjay's Birthday (I'm still grateful to this good man for looking after me in Bangkok!!) at Butter last night and I made the very wise decision to drive to his party, thus allowing me to get away with drinking very little (2 wee beers are all that passed between my lips inside, nay, not even dear Johnnie Walker came close). Twas really interesting to be on the other side of the fence for once, watching the drunken antics of the usual suspects, realising that I'm usually one of the noisier ones when I'm with them! This time, I decided I'd better step back and observe all this behaviour from the sidelines. I watched all this with a mixture of bemusement and fascination. "So that's what I look like when I'm drinking from the bottle and shouting at the top of my lungs, 'Here we, here we, here we F-ing go!' EEEeeeeeks!" I also had with me a very nice young lady whose identity I shan't reveal just yet but let's just say that I'm very glad that this wasn't the usual weekend and I wasn't being the usual horrible drunken monkey that I am trying so hard to stop being!! Yes, I was very well-behaved, indeed. Now, if only I could be like this all the time : )
Right, in a bit, I'm off to Lynette's Red Party at One Rochester and on to Phuture afterwards where I shall get my long-awaited dose of DRUM AND BASS!!! Yesyes! it's been far too long and I'm in need of some grimey beats to get me in the mode!!

This Saturday is going to be very interesting indeed. I am going to have to be on my best behaviour. Get yourself to One Rochester or Zouk/Phuture/Velvet after to find out if I succeed ; )
