Having returned from Bangkok with my head in shreds, the only thing I can bring myself to blog today are the lyrics (just an extract) from a song by Massive Attack, "Dissolved Girl";

"Fade, Made to Fade, Passion's Overrated Anyway.
Say, Say my name. Need a little love to ease the pain.
Need a little love to ease the pain. It's easy to remember when it came. Cos it feels like I've been, I've been here before...."

Poem of the Day (again!):

Serendipity?

She's on the brain, she's on the brain,
The girl is in my head;
She's under my skin,
She's the motivation behind every grin
And in the air I breathe,
In every thought I think,
Even when I'm washing dishes in the kitchen sink.
Now,
If circumstance was right and time was on my side,
I'd be with her right now.....oh yes indeed.
In fact,
I dare say I wouldn't be here writing this,
Alone,
In my bed.

Poem of the Day:

Spark

That little spark in my heart;
so ephemeral,
as I realised the flame it could become,
Burned for yet another girl,
a different one to her whom I'd thought was my world
and everything in it.

Tried using Flickr earlier which was a complete disaster for reasons beyond my control (it refused to let me blog the image you see here as well as the accompanying text I'd pain-stakingly crafted twice). This is one of those days when technology just doesn't want to work with me (I've had a fair amount of difficulty with various memory cards and memory card readers in different shapes and sizes throughout the day)....anyhoo, I hope you can all see this photo and if it isn't "straight-up" like it's supposed to be, then simply turn your head 90 degrees to either the left or right.
What this is is something spotted during the Singapore Biennale and is an accurate reflection of how I aspire to change this sometimes dreary existence of mine as I attempt to lead a life less prosaic (almost daily). An example being the flowery verse which I spouted when the above-mentioned forms of technology failed me *grin*

Hey Boys and Girls,
Not much to report apart from the fact that since the last post, I've acquired a new, kick-ass mobile phone that is cooler than your gran and comes with a brand new number. If you're part of the inner circle, you'd have gotten an SMS/Text Message from me by now informing you of said number. If not, I've either forgotten or you're not in the club. If the former, please please please get in touch thru email/friendster/facebook/myspace/messenger pigeon (wotever it takes) and let me know and I'll give u my new number in a jiffy!
Apart from that, not much else to say. The gym sessions continue and the 6 pack is starting to stir (I can feel it).....it better, after all the torture I've been putting it through lately!
Speaking of exercise, tomorrow sees me on that little island off the Pore, Sentosa, playing games on a man-made beach, all in the name of developing staff cohesiveness and getting to know my colleagues that little bit better...yes, it's "Staff Day" tomorrow. Hoo-bloody-ray!! Time to attempt to get that elusive tan (weather permitting).
Peas Oot.
