It's been a good weekend. I'm very proud to say that I had a grand total of 1 beer and 1 weak cocktail (in the name of work, baby!) this entire weekend. This was a weekend of no clubbing, of being sensible, of working, of new music (I'm really loving Nouvelle Vague at the moment!!) and of sports. Even though I'm physically knackered from Basketball this afternoon in the blazing sun, I still feel a certain sense of accomplishment at having slept more than 8 hours each on both Friday and Saturday night. This, if you know me, is something of an anomaly for Tim. Usually Tim gets a combined total of 8 hours sleep for both nights! So, I do feel somewhat refreshed although Saturday saw me engaged in some rather frantic phone calls relating to work.....it's all good though, everything has worked out more or less. I'm looking forward to another frenetic work week, believe it or not! I think I'll be fine though; I just need to remember to breathe every now and then and things will go swimmingly.Perhaps it's really about time to start living fully and completely and to take a step back ever so often to take stock of what's happening because time is flowing ever so fluidly, the clock is ticking away and I need to learn to really enjoy the moment and to focus my energies more on the task(s) at hand and to stop whiningwhiningwhining........Peas Oot.

Poem of the Day:

Your Kind Eyes

Haven't you heard?
The news the news
My heart is bruised,
This boy is barely alive.
It feels like I'm falling ever more apart
Let's forget the past;
My heart is in your hands
I'm living in the present
tense
Moments like these
I could never ever have imagined
That we would one day come to this...
I'm looking for a look
from your kind eyes
Enough with the talking,
My heart is in your hands.

Choonage: The Killing Moon - Nouvelle Vague
So, I bought a new external hard drive which came with its own set of problems. Of course, it was very fortuitous that my Dad was in the country shortly after I discovered that I am still, no matter how much I like to think otherwise, a stubborn luddite and a technofool. Anyhoo, Dad helped me sort out said problems but now, other problems (this time pertaining to the Laptop itself) persist. I am frustrated beyond words but have decided not to take it out on the machinery but on my body through some punishing physical activities (exercise LAH!) that I shall undertake as soon as I can bring myself to get my heavy ass of this here chair that i have been sat in for the past 2.5 hours. After all, my body is a sort of machine and I could do with a workout....

Since the last post, the Tim of the last post now seems like a different creature. In the last 2 weeks, I've been blessed to have had experiences that I would never have had had I stayed here. I went to Laos and met up with Alex, Sam and Kelly, mates of mine from uni. We had a wicked time and given that I'm off to have dinner in a bit, I shall have to tell you all about the trip another time as well as post some pix when I get off my arse and buy an external hard drive, seeing as how my choons have filled my mac up and left it without any space. When I returned, I was faced with a mountain of work that I've tried (rather unsuccessfully) to turn into a molehill : (

A few days later, Sam came down to spend the week in S'pore. He had a good time meeting lots of my family from the Paternal side who happened to be in town from overseas, ate plenty of good food, did lots of shopping and drank like a fish with me more than a couple of times! He's gone back to Uganda now and my liver is in need of a serious detox (I think a week off the booze should do me a lotta good. Until Saturday, when it's Jeff's 26th Birthday!!)....It was lovely to see him again and to hang out just like we did in St Andrews; chatting, drinking and just enjoying each other's company. Right, I have to be off. I shall give a proper update of my little trip to Laos with pictures and everything as soon as I can. Till then, Peas Oot.
