Hello dear readers, yours truly is feeling like a proper 26 yr old today; feeling properly old, in other words. Saturday was pretty good. A very jolly bunch of friends turned up at MINT bar lounge at 4 Rochester to celebrate my turning twenty-six. Like all good parties, what started off as quiet conversation, quickly descended into raucous laughter from all directions (or was it just me being loud?). A very eclectic bunch of folk representing people who'd known me at the various important stages of my life turned up, from my kindergarten classmates to my mates from secondary school to my colleagues from STB. Twas good to see that everybody enjoyed themselves and that everybody got along well with one another, including the bar and wait staff and us (or rather tipsy me trying to be friendly with the cute, wee wait staff!)....MOS was, as usual, full of weirdos and, surprisingly, music that was worse than it normally is. However, the excellent company of the folk I was with provided for some very funny dancing (at one point about 10 of us dancing in a circle as we egged on the 2 random Indian men inside the circle who had started dancing with Shervin!!)....all in all, it was a great night and I was glad to have spent it in the company of some of my best friends. Oh, if only folk from the St Ands messy crew had been there, it would have been even better! A BIG THANKS to everybody who showed up as well as those who sent their birthday wishes. Here's to a great year of being 26....may the beats keep rocking your blocks!
Peas Oot.
