Ahoy! Yes, I am 26 today! Old man that I am, I suppose it lifted my mood somewhat when the lady who was drawing blood from my arm this morning (why I was having blood drawn at 8.30am on my birthday is a story in itself which I shall share with you if you're at the same place I am tonight; many of you will already be in the know by now *winkwinknudgenudge, tell no randoms!*) told me that I could have passed off for a junior college student, meaning that I looked to her like I was 17,18 years old! Funny thing then, that she asked me if I could believe that she was the same age as me (upon finding out that it was my birthday today). I told her, in as diplomatic a tone as I could, "Yes, why not?" Honestly, she did look substantially older!! I'm glad she didn't note the tinge of sarcasm I was really trying hard to conceal (those who know me well, esp. those from St Andrews, know that I am NOT a morning person) because she had a needle that was sticking into my arm as we had our little conversation and the prospect of her causing me further pain was not one I was about to encourage!
Anyhow, it's been a very busy day so far. I've had a lovely Japanese lunch with my folx, brother and Grandfather. I also attempted to have an afternoon nap (in anticipation of tonight's festivities) but that didn't work out so I ended up polishing my car and shooting some hoops by myself. I've taken my cold shower and I'm now about to head out for dinner with the folx. For the select few of you, I shall see you all in a few hours! Don't forget to bring your drinking hat!!
